Spell Appearances
Magical spells in Aenea work just like they do in countless other worlds, except in their appearances. While some spells (such as charm person) have no visible effects, others (like fireball) are easily seen. In Aenea, those spell effects that are visible can be altered by the caster to follow a theme. Every arcane and divine spellcaster gains the ability to change the appearance of his or her spells as if possessing the Spell Thematics feat (from Magic of Faerun, pg. 22). Arcane spellcasters can select practically any type of theme. Divine spellcasters chose a theme that suits their chosen deity (perhaps soft gold light for Asis or snakes for Sorgath). Unlike the feat, use of a theme for spells does not affect the difficulty of identifying a spell via Spellcraft.
