Gauntlet of the Shield

This single gauntlet appears to be very well made, even masterwork. Constructed of polished steel attached to finely cured leather, it would look appropriate on the hand of any noble warrior. An aura of conjuration magic surrounds it (if viewed with detect magic).

As a free action, the wearer of this item can cause a polished large shield +3 made of steel to appear strapped to his arm. The shield immediately vanishes and reappears on the wearer's arm if it is ever destroyed (via mundane or magical means). The shield can be dismissed at any time as another free action.

The shield is actually created by the gauntlet. Should the gauntlet ever be destroyed, the shield will also be destroyed.
