The subject of this spell is bound in place, helpless, by thousands of strands of very strong, sticky spider webs. He or she is aware and breathes normally, but cannot take any physical actions, even speech (the webs cover and restrain any part of the subject that might be able to move). The subject can, however, execute purely mental actions (such as casting a spell with no components). At the end of the duration, the webs vanish.

A winged creature who is bound cannot flap its wings and falls. A swimmer can't swim and may drown.
