When this spell is used, the caster throws a black spider-shaped glob of force at the target. With a successful ranged touch attack, the caster deals 1d4 points of damage per two caster levels (maximum 10d4). The caster gains temporary hit points equal to the damage inflicted. The caster cannot gain more than the subject's current hit points +10, which is enough to kill the target. The temporary hit points disappear 1 hour later.
