Armor of Darkness
Conjuration (Creation) [Force]
Level: Darkness 4
Components: S, DF
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Area: Creature touched
Duration: 1 hour/level
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)

When this spell is completed, a mist of darkness envelopes the subject, hiding him or her from view for one round. The darkness then condenses inward, forming magical armor in the form of pitch black half-plate. The armor is weightless. It causes no movement, armor check, or arcane spell failure penalties.

While worn, the armor of darkness provides the subject with an armor bonus of +7 to AC, plus an additional +1 per 5 levels of the caster. Since this is actually a force effect, it provides protection against the attacks of incorporeal beings.

As a move-equivalent action, the wearer of this armor can cause it to mostly return to a cloud of dark mist. The wearer looses all but 1 point of the armor bonus to AC, but gains a +15 circumstance bonus to any Hide checks made in darkness or shadows. The armor can be reformed again as another move-equivalent action. The armor can alter its shape like this any number of times during the duration of the spell.
