When this spell is cast on a creature, black mist surrounds the target, then swirls and condenses to form a perfectly fitted suit of matte black half plate armor. The armor is weightless. It causes no movement, armor check, or arcane spell failure penalties.

While worn, the armor provides the subject with an armor bonus of +3 to AC. Since this is actually a force effect, it provides protection against the attacks of incorporeal beings. In addition, the subject gains a +3 circumstance bonus to Hide checks made in areas of shadow or darkness.
