When this spell comes into effect, it causes a large circle, 20 feet in radius and 20 feet high, to be filled with shifting shadows. These shadows are dark enough to cancel the light from a single torch or light spell. In daylight, it has the effect of providing shade to the same area.

The effects of this spell are not mobile, as it is cast on an area and cannot be targeted on an object.
