Bind the Danger
Conjuration (Creation)
Level: Clr 1
Components: V, S, M
Casting Time: 1 action
Range: Touch
Target: One creature touched
Duration: 1 hour per level (D)
Saving Throw: None
Spell Resistance: Yes
This spell is used to keep subdued foes from becoming a danger to the priest. It finds a lot of use by followers of Asis and Dalix.
This divine spell can only be cast on a living creature that has been subdued (subdual damage is greater than remaining hit points), or is unconscious or helpless and unable to move. When cast, dozens of silvery metal bands appear and enwrap the creature, trapping it so that it cannot move when it recovers. When the creature recovers from being subdued, it is allowed to make a single Escape Artist check. The DC for this is equal to 10 plus the casting cleric's level. Failing this means the creature is bound until the spell duration ends (1 hour per caster level) and the bands fall apart into dust and vanish.
If a creature has spell resistance, the caster must overcome this when the spell is cast. Failure means the metal bands fall apart into dust immediately when the creature recovers from being subdued.
If the bound creature is attacked and suffers physical damage while under the effects of this spell, the spell ends instantly.
Material Components: Casting this spell requires that the cleric sacrifice a ring of silver wire worth 5 silver pieces.
