A shield tortoise is a reptile native to the grasslands and forests of the Shieldlands. Each is a rather large shelled creature with faintly glowing blue lines across its shell and glowing blue eyes. These peaceful creatures are herbivores, but have been known to snack on insects on occasion.
Combat: Shield tortoises do not engage in combat.
Force Shell (Su): As a free action, a shield tortoise can create a sphere of magical force around itself, lasting as long as the tortoise desires. This shell has a 5 foot radius, extending through the ground under the tortoise. This shell of force is mobile with the tortoise, but can only be moved by will of the tortoise itself. This shell functions in all other ways like a wall of force.
