The Amethyst Dragon's Review:
Galaxy Quest
Rating: 7/10
This was one of those movies that you have to see when you're in the mood for both a sci-fi flick and a comedy.
Any fan of Star Trek should like this movie. The plot is based on a group of actors who used to star in a popular TV show, Galaxy Quest. Now, they can only get work at sci-fi conventions because of serious type-casting. Just when they all finally get sick of the convention scene, they are wisked into space by aliens that think the TV shows were real and need the actors' help.
Tim Allen and Sigourney Weaver lead a great cast on a hilarious trip into the unknown, but strangely familiar, environment of space. The other cast members do an excellent job too. I couldn't stop chuckling until the end.
I recommend this movie to people of any age. The dialog was clean, the violence was limited, and the story was just plain funny.
