Research Paper: Middle Ages & Renaissance Assigned: 2-21-08 Due: 2-29-08 (rough draft), 3-4-08 (final draft) Each student will select a topic (such as a person, kingdom, or event) related to the Middle Ages and/or Renaissance. The student will then gather information from various sources (encyclopedia, online, books, etc.) about that topic. Students are to present their information in an organized paper written to give a good description of the chosen subject to anyone reading it. The paper will be at least 2 full pages in length (if typed, double spaced), plus it will include a list of references used as the final page. Students will be given the chance to use computers in the classroom for research during the next week, and they are encouraged to use various books in the classroom and outside of school to further their research. The paper will be graded as two assignments: one for Social Studies and one for Writing.
