Player Characters (PCs) will use the following rules when creating a new character.
Use the following numbers and assign them to the ability scores of your choosing - 15, 14, 13, 12, 10, 8.
You have 27 points to spend on your ability scores. The cost of each score is shown on the Ability Score Point Cost table. For example, a score of 14 costs 7 points. Using this method, 15 is the highest ability score you can end up with.
If all of the players agree, the DM rolls a set of scores and everyone assigns those numbers to their ability scores.
After scores are assigned, racial modifiers are applied.
Characters in Aenea come from a variety of backgrounds. Most are found in the Player's Handbook (PHB) and can be seen as very general starting points that players can use as part of their histories.
AcolytePCs in Aenea can be any of the following races. Some are standard PHB races, along with a new races, subraces, and changes to the normal ones (such as the replacement of tieflings with custom half-demon subraces and humans becoming a base race with subraces).
PCs in Aenea are able to take any of the standard PHB base classes, with quite a few subclass additions and deletions for more options and for world flavor. Some choices are from later published books, while many are homebrew.
