Description/Background:
Lord Gorn is the ruling patriarch of House Gorn, an Aenean noble family. House Gorn has established itself as a force for a good in the world of Aenea, committed to upholding justice, defending the weak, and caring for those in need. The House is well-beloved by many, especially among the lower common class, but it's devotion to right has always gained it the ill-favor and open animosity of many of the darker denizens and factions within Aenea's borders.

House Gorn is devoted to their patron deity Dalix and by all accounts conduct their affairs faithfully according to her edicts. House Gorn's corporal powers are seated in the ancient Citadel known as Dawnrose. This citadel houses, among other things, a large orphanage. It is at Dawnrose that the now deceased patriarchs of the Gorn family committed themselves to establishing an order of Paladins loyal to Dalix, an Order which remains to this day. These Paladins have come to be known as the Order of the Merciful Sword.

The Order was tasked with tirelessly waging a military campaign against the oppression, lawlessness, and brutality of the bestial races; Goblins, Orcs, Giants, and their ilk. The campaign, which continues to this day, is, by patriarchal edict, not to be fueled by a hatred for these races, but rather by a compassion and desire to insure peace for the law-abiding citizens of the realm who have suffered grieviously at the hands of these creatures. Thus did the patriarchs effectively temper mercy into the conflict and into the hearts of the men that serve in the war. The effect of this mercy is seen in a semi-sequestered Dawnrose orphanage established specifically for bestial newborns that crusading Paladins spared.

However, as time has passed, the Order of the Merciful Sword has taken upon itself an even more grave task. This task is perhaps the darkest call the Order will ever have to obey, and at the forefront of this coming conflict is the current ruling patriarch of House Gorn, Lord Paladin Barus Gorn. Recorded are his words at the commencement of this new and deadly campaign:

"Binding all of the Order to obey, this forboding command will place you, O noble Paladin, not in the path of a savage barbarian Orc Warlord intent on crushing your skull, rending you into quarters, and feasting upon your remains, but rather in the path of a menace that will crush your will, rend your mind, and feast upon your soul. This peril will bring every Merciful Sword to the core of himself, shattering and purging all that is superficial and false within his heart. He will come to know the deepest fear, and the purest courage. He will fall, but Dalix will raise him again. He will stand in the darkness of the earth, he will feel the breath of ice upon his neck, and then he will know his enemy, and that enemy is Death. Relentless, void of mercy, and feeling no pain, the hordes of the evil undead will assault him. But you, O Flaming Sword, were forged for this time and this place. It is in this darkness where fear crouches waiting to devour your mind that you will ignite into a holy, purging fire and cleanse these unholy strongholds of the undying nemesis within. And I will be beside you, to stand or fall as Dalix wills. Prepare for war."

Favorite Thing About Aenea:
Attention to detail and overall high quality. Similiarities to my own build style (if I took the time to build). Good administration. Not highly populated (i.e.: Lack of egotistic politika/petty conflicts among the player base).
