Items and Objects: Wanderer's Portals

Standing on their own in various parts of Aenea are ancient stone rings. Often faintly marked with the symbol of Gort (the god of travel), these devices allows those in the know to open mystical portals to other such rings across the lands.

Activation of such portals requires a character to be wearing a certain "key" item when activating a nearby "control" device. The controls each hold seven glowing crystals, and the sequence of presses on the crystals activate the Wanderer's Portal for one minute.

Any number of characters may pass through a Wanderer's Portal while it is active, and it is an efficient way for parties to cross the continent.

Activation of a portal with an incorrect gem sequence can (painfully) send anyone entering it to a space called Limbo, from which such character then leave and find themselves in a random place in the world.
