Shadow Child Ghostly beings that are only partially solid, shadow children move silently through the world, observing the lives of more solid creatures. While occasionally coming into conflict with other creatures of the night (such as vampires, which seem to harbor some sort of instinctual hatred for shadow children), these being mostly go unnoticed by normal creatures. The bright light of the sun actually burns at the shadowy flesh of shadow children, so they usually take shelter indoors and underground during the day. Nobody knows where the first shadow children originated. Advantages: +10 Hide +5 Listen +10 Move Silently +5 Spot Regenerate (at night) Concealment (20% miss chance) Disadvantages: Burned by Daylight (5% of maximum hitpoints per round) 20% XP Penalty Available To: Dwarf, Elf, Fae, Gnome, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, or Human |
